Strolling Down Memory Lane

This Tag has been surfing around and I thought it would be nice to play.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I, Josh or the kids had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! You don't need to have an account to post a response...you just need to pick anonymous and leave the comment!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about one of us, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

That's me and my brothers.

Can you guess who that is?

I have lots of comments from the memory lane. Where do I begin? Alaina, I have good memories of our little business together. I think we could have made it big if we didn't both have to go back to school. One time when it was your turn to work and mine to watch the kids, Sibley was begging to hold Cole and so I let her. She had no idea how heavy he was, so as soon as I handed him to her and backed up a step, she just dropped him right then and there. It was on the grass though, and he was so chubby that his fat rolls absorbed the impact and he never cried. But there he was on the ground with his arms still outstretched like she was still holding him and it was hilarious. He rarely ever cried when he got hurt anyway. He was so tough. Once I saw him through the kitchen window fall off the top of the little tykes slide onto the brick patio and hit his head and not even shed a tear. I love how all of the good things happened to Cole when he was seven, like touching a forty foot bass stingray. I wish I got to see more of Ila. As far as Josh goes, when he was little he screamed like a girl and had two big cowlicks in the front of his hair. He had so much energy and was so great at sports. I remember one of his little league baseball games when he jumped over one of the basemen and landed square on the plate. The umps didn't know what to do, so they convened and decided he was safe. Sorry for leaving such a long comment. Love y'all.

I remember the 4th of July party...where you kept inviting people and it felt like everyone came! The egg tossing contest was...messy :) and fun! Good food and good company!

Sorry for leaving so many comments. I have to say something about Ila though. I love her spunk and how if you ever tell her not to do something she turns around and looks at you like, "Do you want to fight me? Who wants to fight?". And I love to hear her calling Cole "Bubba."

I remember Cole's 4th birthday party and holding Ila with some smarties. I turned my head and she put the smarties in her mouth and bit down and bit right through the plastic! I quickly fished the four smarties, plastic and all, out of her mouth. I can't believe how sharp her little teeth are! I miss holding cute little Ila. She is so sweet and has the most endearing little smile!

I remember the first time I met you guys. Josh had been assigned as our visiting teacher and you both came to bring us a sweet treat. I remember the plate it was on seemed almost too nice to be disposable, but it took me several months before we ever returned it. Actually, did we ever return it .... ;)
