Say good bye to the popcorn ceilings! We covered Cole & Loden's room and our room with sheet rock and I can't wait to see them painted this week. Also I wanted to show the new light fixture Josh installed in the foyer (much better than the previous green one). I never knew he was such a talented electrician and plumber. He continues to surprise me. We are also excited how the breakfast nook benches fit perfectly and just have to find a table. Thanks Grandmamma Enslen! The floor is still needing to be finished too.
Ila's room is the most frustrating room. Thank goodness it's the smallest bedroom. When we tried to remove the 2nd layer of wallpaper we found the plaster walls were coming off with it so we just decided to purchase paintable wallpaper and can't wait to put it up.

The kitchen is done except for a missing panel above the sink. As soon as I had finished the textured Venetian plaster walls I noticed a leak coming through the cabinets. We had to tear down the panel to see where the leak was coming from. Josh fixed it and so now I have to redo the wall but here it is totally transformed. Before photos and a video of it completed.

Its so neat to follow your renovations!
Did you paint the cabinets? I'd like to see a close up of the hardware. Is this the same bees wax yellow? What paint company is that? I Love yellow.
We just bought our house, and I'm dreaming of white cabinents. Right now we've got wood from the 50's. I'll email you an invite to my house blog, if you'd like to see it.
Love seeing the pictures, Alaina. I'm so happy for you guys. And I really love seeing what you're doing. What was going on with the ceiling that was down? Is that where you put up sheetrock?
The kitchen looks great! I can't wait to see the rest of it finished. And I'm surprised at Josh's handiness too. Who knew?
