So it is now the middle of October and the weather is crisp, the trees are bright and the sky seems more blue! We took advantage of this fall to travel up to Vermont and see my mother who is working in Brattleboro till the beginning of December. We had such a wonderful trip. We visited two farms. The first farm was filled with all the farm animals that you can imagine and we got to feed them all and chase the chickens too. The second was an apple orchard that had 4-6 different types of apples. We had to take quite a journey to get to the best, Honey Crisp, which I had never heard of till then. They were definitely worth the trip. I've already made one apple pie with my bag and plan to use the rest for some apple sauce. I wish I knew how to can!

Here are some of the photos at the apple orchard.

We thought we were picking Honey Crisp apples here but this was a McIntosh, so thankfully someone directed us to were we needed to go (up the hill) before we filled our bags.
Going up the hill.
Here Josh was resting while we picked the apples :)
We even got to see one of Santa's retired reindeers!

We sure miss you all!
That looks like tons of fun
I can't believe how big the kids have gotten! I'm glad y'all are enjoying your new adventure.
These pictures are so cute! I love Cole's buzz cut. He looks even more like his daddy now. And I love Ila with the wheelbarrow. My favorite is the reverse American Gothic of you and Josh! Too cute. I'm just so happy that you updated! And it looks like y'all had a really fun trip. Okay, I'll shut up now.
